To my best friend who i can tell anything
There has always been that unfilled hole,
Filled when I found a friend,
Then emptied again when they left.
I kept my hopes low for finding a best friend.

I kept to myself,
Not letting too many people close.
I didn't want to hurt them,
Or myself again.

Some how we connected,
Became fast friends.
I don't know how or when it happened,
But I'm glad it did.

You help me when I'm down,
And there for me to share my happiness.
So I'm gonna be there for you,
I'm gonna keep on trying my best.

You are like a sister to me,
Trusting and understanding,
Listening and advising,
Comforting and caring.

Even when we don't see each other,
I'm thinking about you,
Hoping you are doing okay,
Hoping you can see how much I care.

The hugs and I love yous are expressions,
But just looking in your eyes
I see you care and worry.
I see your happiness and sadness.

To you I have given a part of my heart,
I have let you in.
I'm going to keep you close.
I'm holding this friendship forever.

I can understand friendship now
Its giving what you have and more.
Its risking anything for another person,
Anything to see them happy.

Then this I promise you:
You will never be alone.
I'm always here through the good and bad.
I'm always here to be your friend.
I don't like to see you sad.
