Laugh Lines

Laugh lines of a heart
scar tissue bright
hold it to the light
whence love may
touch it

Laugh lines of the heart
healed by gentle adoration
kept in syncopation
by night well
spent

Laugh lines of the heart
a brightly hued specter
kept safe by a protector
of spirit
well met
