This was originally a song for the love lorn.
I wondered if you could care for me or turn your back and look upon someone else tenderly.
If I told you I loved you would you hold my hand and cry or look away in shame and only say goodbye.

Lace and a glance stand by a kiss and a dance.
And I wondered about you until I heard you say “I do”.

Moonlight whispers in the eyes that I see.
The way you hold my hand when you dance with me.
Roses delivered at the window and a ring hidden in the smile you show.

Lace and a glance stand by a kiss and a dance.
And I wondered about you until I heard you say “I do”.

Walking down the isle you mouthed “I love you” and a tear ran down my cheek all because of you. Vows spoken with a twinkle in your eye as you promise to love until the day you die.

Lace and a glance stand by a kiss and a dance.
And I wondered about you until I heard you say “I do”.
And I cried as you held her hand and walked on by.
