A poem I wrote for my moom before she died of cancer
It was while you lay there sleeping
That my memories finally came
All that once was unremembered
All I thought had gone away
But no longer in the darkness
All I knew of days gone past
Free now and forever
They're mine to hold at last
And one figure shines so brightly
That in its shadow all are seen
That figure of cours is you Mom
T'was you who made me "me"
And now our time is short
But still you fail to understand
Your light shines upon all you meet
Yes, each and every man
Your strength(you took for weakness)
Has made us what we are
And if you lived forever
You'd forever shine like stars
