My take on the final moments of life
Pain, like acid coursing through my veins.
Words echo, resonating through my brain
"Hold on, You can make it, Put up a fight"
"Do not heed God's brillant light."

I fight, struggle, try hard to breathe.
Life's precious breath is what I need.
But the pain is just too much to bear,
as lungs play hide and seek with air.

The threads of life snipped one by one.
So many challenges, left undone.
Angel of death, lurking near,
has come to take me now, I fear.

Come, encircle me, Warden of the dead,
Dare you to snip, that one last thread.
No longer shall I lay and bleed.
Life's blood to you, I now concede.
