portrate of a victim
I am small
I am weak
I am the product of those I seek

I am confused
I am depressed
I am all that I confess

I am the martyr
I am the bait
I am the one I hate

I am angry
I am ashamed
I let you define me
Give me a name

I am powerless
I give you control
I make you my conscience
I give you my soul

I am guilty
I am the one that begs
Lost without voice, truth or legs

You define who I am
You have erased me time and time again
We are one vision
That is of my demise
It is you I seek out
Me I despise.

My love has no boundaries
My image has no worth
You twist my truth
My reality is to hurt.

The end is elusive
The beginning is scarred
The result is a damaged soul
That looks to you for support.

Why can’t you love me?
Why can’t you let me be?
Why do you control me?
Why can’t I see?

I am the Victim
