A Limmerick
Author's Note: This was the first place winner of the 05/16/05 contest to write a limmerick that begins with the line "There once was a gambler named Fred".



                   Fred's Last Bet

There once was a gambler named Fred
Whose sanity hung by a thread;
When Fred made a bet
Playing Russian Roulette,
That's the day they say Fred lost his head.
