A sonnet on Cape Cod beaches.
Sapphire sea splashing against the shore,
Multicolored shells scattered on the beach,
Nobody sees the fish on the sea floor,
And from the dunes, the boats look within reach.
Three kids playing, building a sandcastle,
Frantically moving their little hands,
While the churning waves make it a hassle,
And the dragging sea takes away the sands.
Listen to the melodies of the whales,
Their solemn voices put the beasts to rest,
Under the silent waves where the boat sails,
Here the sailors are put to the full test.
Our breathing is in 'sync with the tide,
This is what it's like to have Cape Cod pride.
