This poem reflects my views on how discrimination truly is a real thing
Perhaps I am paranoid
Or have my fears come true?
I've always known it happens
But to me I never knew

Sometimes I have horrid thoughts
Of those different than me
But now the tables are turned
And my eyes clearly see

It truly is horrible
To judge by one’s own race
And now that I think of it
It can come in any case

Its not just color and race people examine
But also looks and trends
Some even go as far
As to scrutinize one’s friends

Sure, everyone knows it’s wrong
But what can we do?
The only solution is
To stand in another’s shoe

Remember to think before you judge
That is the main key
Discrimination is a real thing
And it’s happening to me
