This piece is a reflection of people's love and their lack of regret in their past
Undone
Empty reflections and lonely mirrors
Bloodstained knives and your sarcastic tears
Unraveled sweaters all stained with red
Never mailed letters and sorrys unsaid
Falling boxes filled with your scent
“Miss you’s” and “Love you’s” you never meant
Simple stories and romance novels
Dirt paths, highways, and roads made of cobbles
Broken comb teeth and empty bottles of gel
Broken records, songs imprinted on vinyl
Out of tune guitar strings and out of order eight notes
Candle lit dinners and dried up castle moats
Never developed photos and pictures never painted
Dreams made from loves that were oh so tainted
Empty coffee mugs and espresso machines
“Who is that?’s” “Where were you’s” and “what do you mean’s”
Love poems, love letters, and angry mail that comes after
Random phone numbers and car races, faster
Diamonds, platinum all broken and dull
Burned incense and kerosene lamps once full
Lovesick puppies and thunder-struck cats
Torn down paper walls and bamboo floor mats
Unbelieving faces in snapshots, torn and old
Broken smiles and sorry stares, disguising and cold
“Please forgive me’s” and “Why should I?’s”
Bleeding wrists and an eye that cries
Memories, regrets, and sighs we all sighed
Tissue boxes and running mascara after kisses that lied
Smash these hearts to pieces, there's no regret to find
And through these tears the truths will unwind
