Music and emotion, expressed using the Naga Uta form.
I sit in my chair,
guitar on my lap, unplayed,
and listen to the
sound of cold November rain;
unchained melody,
tender, strumming in my mind.
I'm thinking too much.
My paradise city, lost,
the darkness and pain;
love’s joy always seems to cost
too much, yet I pay.
With no inspiration left,
no music to play,
naught but fragile notes, shattered,
crushed by twilight’s game,
what poet’s soul can thus thrive,
soar against all odds?
Still, with my heart’s pool run dry,
I echo the rain, and try.
