A shot at an extinction thought
From The Chronicles of Death

Extinction

When silent brooding masses cry,
as they traverse the labyrinth of night.
Forgotten Sainted soldiers die,
in the darkest secrets of death's delight.

Why does hatred's lightning fall
upon those inhabitants of Mother Earth?
Some hear an eerie siren's call,
doomed one and all from time of birth.

In a colorless humanity,
who will pass judgment on the multitudes?
In sanctimonious profanity,
We'll indulge in promiscuous interludes.

Toward the end, we'll be in harmony,
in the midst of endless pain, we'll try,
to send a final frightened plea?
When the silent brooding masses cry.
