Do you remember those times?
I remembered
Those times we had.
Looking at the stars,
Dancing in the moonlight.
I remember sivering
During that cold, cold night.
And yet I was warm, just looking,
Touching you.

SUddenly,
We grew apart,
We solemnly saw.
We went on with life,
Others friends,
others more.
Then I remembered those times together.

I burst out in tears,
Or cracked up a laugh.
One night,
A knock was heard.
It was a strange man,
Tall with a beard.
He touched my arm and said,
"Do you know who this man is?"
He gave me a picture,
A picture of you.
And I said, "Yes, of course I do."
He was silent for a moment
Then cleared his throat.

"This man you used to love,"
"Is in heaven right now."
He told me slowly,
He told me carefully.
Then he backed off and disappeared into the darkness.

As I lay in bed that night,
I remember your face.
Your soft touch,
Your deep voice.
You, my love,
Taken from me.
Now I will never be whole.
