Who are you when I'm not around?
We've established I belong to you
You're mostly owned by me, and
We've had interplay and dialogue
Intercourse intellectually
You say such sweet things
I know this side of the person you are, but I
Wish to know the person you'll be
The person you are
When you're away from me

To hear, perhaps, a curse word
Or anger uncontrolled
A sin extolled as virtue
An opinion unedited, maybe

To feel your voice, too loud
In hot breath on my face
And summon a proud glance at you
As someone you don't know

In pleasant-guilty hope that you may
Expose the underbelly of your soul
Although it shouldn't be that way, you
Cover parts you can't control

I hope you wish it too
To run a hand along the fold of my
Vulnerability
I know the man you are
I'd like to know the stranger you will be
