This is a sonnet that I wrote regarding my feelings toward a particular guy at school.
The girl I use to be had a tender heart
I tried to store away the hurt you like to cause
Yet, it hardened overtime with the throw of every dart
For you, I put all my ambitions and dreams on pause
You were what I lived for day to day
The hope you gave me has vanished
The brightness and cheerfulness of spring was in my life when it wasn't even May
I despise you so much I hope you are banished
Yet, looking in those sparkling deep blue eyes
I feel in my heart you really love me
Your flaws disappear like the clear evening skies
I believe you and I are destined to be
My heart is no longer stone
I'd rather be with you than be alone
