A short love poem.
Footprints

You take out your heart,
and give it to me with ease.
You hold my hand,
so willingly.
We'll walk as the snow falls,
and catch some on our tongues.
We'll sing of a new begining,
until the faitful end comes.
When you go I will stay,
and wait until my time.
I will trace your footprints,
left in the glowing sand.
From when you were here,
when you were holding my hand.
I will keep all of your memories,
pressed tightly in a book.
So as to preserve the feelings,
I had when times were good.
I wont forget you,
or the color of your eyes.
I'll wait until forever,
to stand just by your side.
I'll hold every bit of you,
close to my heart.
And I'll count each of your footprints,
until I'm back at the start.
