I really do hate time.

Isn't it funny
How I'm always
Extremely late,
Or terribly early?
Like time is picking on me,
And destroying my dreams,
And my life, and my love,
And my reality.

It's too late now.
There's no turning back.
(Though I wish I could rewind)
But if this is because
I'm younger,
I'll grow up for you.
And I'll make you see
How unfair this is.

But you can't keep this up forever.

One day I'll catch up,
And I'll fly with you,
And I'll shine like you,
And you'll tell me how
You really wanted to wait.

Maybe you'll tell me
That you understand about everything,
That I was never really mad at you.
I was just angry with the clock.
(And sometime the calendar)

And you even wrote me a song,
About a place where time does not exist.
And it's just...
Eternity.

But until we get there,
And until I speed up,
I'll still be ten years behind.

Though I'm not sure
You care about time anymore.
