This is my attempt at a poem for exercise in imagery.
Dressed in a couch robe, she once again searched
Through the dazzling flowers, where wild potatoes grow.
The buzzing heat surrounded, staggering her in the steaming air.

With morning fresh eyes she finally spied him.
Leafy vines clinging to his stone body
as if in a lovers embrace.

From her somber lips flowing nothings came
The blood soaked soil absorbed her sorrow
and the red trees weeped in sympathy.
At last a creeping request passed in silent plea.

The scent of sweet roses filled the fragrant air
rising up around the lovers to suffocate.
Honey glazed bees swarmed while she kissed his last lips in final acceptance.
