Actors are appealing on stage, what happens when the man behind the mask is unveilled...
Pain, more than anyone
Should be made to bear.
Anguish, deeper than the deepest pain
Is the anguish we should share.
Alas, you know nothing
Of this pain that rends my heart.
So, I'll bear this burden gladly
Though it will keep us forever apart.
You see, I loved you truly
With a love that wouldn't die.
But you, you only fooled me;
You lived a believable lie.
The greatest actor of all time
You played well your part.
Because you completely convinced me
That from me you never would part.
And I, I wanted to believe you,
So I put all my faith in you.
And in the end I was horribly shaken
When YOU finally came into view.
The real you, not my fantasy.
The one I didn't want to see.
The one who went behind my back,
The one you hid from me.
When I first saw you clearly
With my eyes, I was torn in two.
How can you say you care for me
Then say the opposite with what you do.
