....................
A piece of glass, shattered under the sun,
I'm burnt, but I'm no where near done,
Am I pushing a door, that clearly says 'pull',
Where's life's limit, and isn't mine full?
I'm down, moth-eaten and used,
A hand-me-down toy, that's been beaten and bruised,
I'm idle with anxiety, scared stiff of society,
looking for some variety in the emotions I feel,
You're never to cry over milk that's been spilt,
but what about painted on guilt?
Listen, I've had all the love I can take,
This just in, it could be your break,
I'm stuck in a dream where I cannot awake,
Held down by pride, I've been magnified and modified,
Back up this is MY joyride,
Please, get me out of the limelight,
I want to be bubbled, airtight,
because I'm below Fahrenheit, watch out for my frostbite,
Instead of adoring, how about you learn to ignore,
because I don't want to be a teenage Aphrodite anymore.
