just a short paragraph about the effect life can have on you
Artificial happiness

Your old before your time
holding too much wisdom behind
brown eyes.
You had your fingers burnt,
your hostile to the world.
You build yourself a wall,
held strong by icy stares
and a sharp tongue.
A wall built round your heart,
never to crumble, never to fall.
Fake smiles you give,
forged laughter
. But still your heart remains
impassive you’d lead us to believe
I’ve seen you at your weakest,
you hope to be transparent,
Sitting there, staring into space,
hoping to be lost among
the busy world among
failing race.
then its gone
, the flicker of hope
buried back inside yourself.
The last shred of faith for humanity
has been crushed.
artificial happiness.
A cycle you cant break,
An addiction to a poison.
It numbs your pain,
you appear sane,
, comes back to claim your soul,
to take whats rightfully yours.
Leaving just a shell of what
you used to be,
devoid of emotion,
lost from my reach.
