An old writing that I needed to get out.
          Merric stood on the roof top, staring at the slow rising moon. It had never ceased to amaze him that so many had watched the same moon for many years before, and nothing about it seemed changed. Suddenly his thoughts and ponderings of the vastness of space were shattered by the yells and screams coming from the streets below.
