This is a poem to my sorry dad, who's never been there for me.
You might've been around when I was born,
Maybe you thought
"OH my gosh, she's a thorn!"
But now I'm a budding rose,
Whose made her choice.

Years pass by,
Though you've seen none of the tears I cry.
Always gave me a broken heart,
That mommy would have to mend.
Did you think you were done with your part?

You were always here and there,
Even when I wanted your support
And when I needed you near.
I thought one day maybe you'd care,
But I knew the chance was way too rare.

So now you can go on,
And leave me alone.
I'll be perfectly alright.
I've made it this far,
Haven't I?
