Let me take you back in time with my journey in your mind!
Growing up
we had so much fun
We drank & smoked & fooled around
as our youth had just begun
Steamy backseat windows
were no stranger to me
Lost in ourselves we found Ecstasy
that no one else could see
Rendevous on the beach
Frantic making out always in our reach
Frequently it's God we did beseech
as panties hit the sand
we half in water, half on land
caring only about sharing our passion
B.J.'s, oh, endless B.J.'s
Dessert came before dinner
Oh, how I loved the way I lived
& what I did give made me a winner
in your eyes I won first prize
There was no disguising passion
It ran abound when I was young
Then it began to wane
soon after it had begun
& slowly I just wasn't the same
How could I pinpoint
the day my tongue changed course
when it happened so slowly
It didn't just dash out like a race horse
The bills crept in
The rent was due
Work was exhausting
Less time for you
Less time for mindless passion
Sadly, I lost my way

Remembering still how I had been found
when I was lost in you back in the day
when passion ran abound
before other things gave way
I think back now
to the way I lived
I had so much life!
I had so much to give!
When I see you
I feel this surge of energy
I'm young again
& this urge sets my heart free.
