The Dark Streets is a story I'm very proud of and several reviewers have told me that the list of my own characters are confusing, so that is why I plan on making a wordsearch related to my successful story. The Dark Streets is about a 15-year-old boy who is struggling to live on the streets by himself in a large city. At the beginning we learn how he feels about his life and what kind of struggles he has to deal with. By about the middle, we find out what his past consisted of and how he ended up on the streets. There are two main slang terms in the story: street kids (n.)- general term used to describe the gangs that roam the city streets. Good Semaritians (n.)- term used by only the younger generation of gangs to describe someone or a group of older people that take them in from the streets. These two people take up the majority of The Dark Streets. Two of the gangs has such violent relations: the Revs and Lucky 13. the Revs is just a slang term used to describe the Reveloution to all gang voilence and Lucky 13 is a self made gang that consists of teens from the ages 13-19. Lucky 13 came about thier name by, quite ironically, thier best quaility that they all share: bad luck. Going back to the word search, this, I hope, will make it easier to keep track of the characters in my story. **Note: soon to be editied into an orginal story for this site only.*** |
