Finding balance as a septuagenarian.Line Count:32
Balance...
Equilibrium...
A necessity for survival
In both material and spiritual worlds.

I meditate upon this thought,
contemplate the implications
of finding balance
as a septuagenarian.

This is something I didn't consider
at fifty or sixty,
but now I realize
that both my physical and spiritual well being
depend on balance.

I can't change the past,
I can,
however,
change the future
by living a more balanced life.

A balanced life
means cutting out stress
by changing what I can
and leaving the rest in God's hands.

A balanced life
means daily exercise
by taking my walker
for a stroll down the block

A balanced life
means three meals a day
both physical and spiritual.

Thus balance is acquired
in the 70th year
of my live upon the Earth.
