The beauty that comes in summer
In the summertime
The bird song rises above
The trees, meadows and fields
Waving in the warmth of the sun

Warm, gentle breezes drift
Through bright, green leaves
And across brightly colored feathers
Sitting hidden among bright new growth.

Waves crash against the beach
As sea birds strut calmly
Across the sandy shore.
Or sit basking in the sunlight.

The frozen chill of winter
Is driven far away
By the warmth and light
That comes in the summertime
