Or was it a Leprechaun?
IRISH BEER

Paddy has a fine Bar in Dublin
with a lucky shamrock sign
and when you leave that place at night,
you’ll be walking no straight line.

Leaving there on an evening fair,
I saw a leprechaun at play.
My friends all called me crazy
but I’ll stick to what I say.

He took me to castles of gold,
such as I had never seen,
out in the mountains of Ireland,
sheltered in fields emerald green.

No one ever believes my story
and there’s only one thing I fear,
I may not have seen castles at all,
It might have just been Paddy’s beer.
