Fruit cake

I have heard my favourite cake
Is shunned in many places
But it’s the only cake I bake
And puts smiles on many faces.

In Old Blighty and also Oz
It’s usually eaten nightly
It’s good for you and that’s because
It makes you feel quite sprightly
