Peace and Happiness - From Christmas?

At this time of year, many people have high expectations and hopes for peace and happiness. Yet, all too often, the reality is disappointment, debt, family disruption, loneliness, and ever-deteriorating world conditions. Ironically, the person who Christmas is supposedly meant to be about - Jesus Christ - actually showed us the way to real happiness. There is every reason to trust Jesus because, he actually warned of all of the disturbing events we are witnessing in our world today, including global conflicts and Pandemics, Civil and family breakdown, and he even warned that mankind would be "Ruining the earth." In fact, Jesus foretold that “There will be anguish of nations, not knowing the way out.” Yet, Jesus also revealed how we can be truly happy.

Although Jesus taught many aspects to happiness, one way was paramount - all other things dependent upon it. Jesus revealed - “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.” Jesus was not talking about “mindfulness”, meditation, yoga, or spiritism. He was urging people to come to know his Father – God, the one who gave life to all things (see John 17.3). So, allow me to share the the following little-known facts about God, from the Bible;

God has a name. The Bible tells us that it is “Yahweh”, which is translated - “Jehovah” in English (see Exodus 6.3, Isaiah 42.8).
God knows you - better than you know yourself, and He desperately wants to help you through your own personal anxieties, and give you a good future (see Proverbs 3.1,2, Jeremiah 29.11).
God did not intend the world to be this way, but He has promised to step in – soon, and undo all the problems mankind have created (see Revelation 11.18, 21.4). You may have heard that promise – in the “Lord's Prayer”? - “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven.”

Millions of people today, have come to know God, and have found genuine peace and happiness - even in this chaotic world. This happiness is constant, and not on just a few designated days each year. If you would like help to build your faith in our heavenly Father, please feel free to contact me.
