Old love that resurfaces every now and then but the paths always part
Two decades past, love both fresh and aged,
Through time's swift flow, we've changed and matured.
A bond of sparks, tightly interlaced, Has held,
Though distance our paths ensured.
Separate journeys we've chosen to tread,
Through life’s distinct and varied stages spread.
Yet in our meetings, we find unchanged hearts,
A fleeting moment ignites, and then departs.
The perfect time or place remains unseen,
Space divides our paths with a silent screen.
Acknowledging change, we part once more,
No longer in tandem as we were before.
Life’s highways diverge with choices wide,
A tapestry of love, old and new, our guide.
