Banana Bread

Banana Bread

You're never going to make banana bread.
Scream the voices in my head,
the same way that your Mother
or your Grandmother did.

So just put away that recipe book,
remove your hat and coat from the hook,
walk to the bakery down the block,
and purchase a loaf or two.

You're the only one who will ever know,
you didn't mix the dough,
or bake bread in your oven.
You just have to do slice and serve the bread.
