Blog City Day 136 July 17th

Promp1t: What are some things you think will become obsolete within the next ten years? It can be sayings, trends, websites, fads or anything else you can think of.

Prompt2: Which old fashioned monster do you find the most frightning? Count Dracula, the mummy or the wolfman.

Prompt 3:Which fictional character would you like to be for one day?

well first of all...lets get back to this theory of conspiracey! So, the mystery deepens. I am trying not to get paranoid here, that this is not a conspiracy against me! *Laugh*

Ok what is going to be obsolete in ten years?

Having 4 teenage kids (yes you need to keep up I have an 18 yr old daughter who does'nt live with me ATM) we use text messaging alot. Even when we are in the same house but just in different rooms. the latest sayings, trending her in Aust is 'KMS' (kill myself), 'KYS'( Kill your self) or ' you make me want to neck myself'. These are sayings that I truly hope are gone very soon. But all the kids use it not just in texts but in 'Real Life Talk' and all social media. I can't even believe it is actually a trend! I hate it when I get sent a text saying "whats for dinner mum" I then reply back "soup or spag bol" and all I get back is 'KMS' then a picture of a head and a gun. OMG!

Prompt 2: Oh gosh! old fashioned monsters! I think I find the mummy the most frightning. I belieive it is the "unknown" factor of what is actually under those bandages. It just freaks me out!

Prompt 3:: I would love to be Wolverine for a day. I would love to go out and smash people I hate, slice and dice them and have not repercustions of jail! *Laugh* I am only joking. I am a true pass...(seriously every word I try and look up for spelling is giving me now results!) I am not an agressive person. But imagine being able to wreak havoc for one day then wake up the next day and your not in jail. That would be pretty awesome!

I know my responses are shoter than normal today. It has been a long, long day and I am tired. Forgive me.*Worry*

And that is my spin on the the 3 prompts.

Blessings

Blog City Day 135 16th July

Prompt: If you were going to aan art museum, would you rather see paintings or sculptures. Do you like older ones or modern ones?

I love older paintings! I can't stand abstract or modern art. I know that art is in the eye of the beholder...but seriouly Taj could produce some of the crap they call art. Call me un-couth, however I feel some of the pieces they call 'art' these day is just straight out bullshit!

Give me Fredderick McCubbon any day of the week. Or the likes of Van Gogh. Oh! that is true art and true skill.

As for sculptures - huh! could take them or leave them. I havent seen many sculptures that have really done anything for me.

We have a "Sculptures by the Sea" exhibition every year down at Cottesloe beach. ( i am fully aware this is not a art museum) this year someone entered an exhibit that they called art and it was a GIANT Goon Bag!!! (A goon bag is the words used to describe the bladder of a wine cast in Australia.). This thing must have stood 3 storyes high and about 20 metres wide. It just sat there on the beach for the whole month. I thought it was the most ridiculous 'peice of art' I had ever seen. Especially when here in Australia we have such a drinking culture and every second add on tv or the radio is about underage drinking and how we have to stop it. And here they are promoting drinking through 'Art'...Sorry I digress.

So that's my spin on art.

BCOF Day 605 July 16th

Prompt: What is your favourite magazine? Why? Do you read it on-line or off-line.

Well when I do buy a magazine (which is rarley because they are so bloody expensive) I buy and read Womens Health and fitness. I like it more for the nutritional compnents as I am in to nutritional supplimentation. I was blessed to be born with a body that constantly needs filling with nutrients that we do not store in our own bodies. I also like alternative medicine mags as well. I use a lot of homeopathic/naturopathic remedies so like keeping up with that.

I like to buy the actual magazine as I find it difficult to read from the computer for too long.

And thats my spin of mags!

BCOF Day 604 July15th

Prompt: Tell us a happy memory that you have.

Well before I get start I have finally realised...yes I know I learn slow! That from now on I am going to put all my blog prompts on one blog. Total revolation I know, finally taking note.

For some reason it take me ages to 'realise' things. I will give you an example. I am the type of person who will eat a new food, have a allergic reaction to it,(so be it not that bad) but I will not be convined. So I will partake of this food again, have the same reaction, but still for some odd reason, not be convinced. It is not till the third time I consume this food and yet again have the same reaction, that finally I have the revolationary thought that I am actually allergic to this food and not eat it again. CRIKEY! the mind boggles.

Well when I read the prompt that came through, I thought it might actually be easier to explain Einstein's theory of relativity! *Laugh*

Please don't get the wrong idea that I haven't had good times, and my life has just been one whole flash of doom and gloom. Because it hasn't. I just really struggled to think of a really happy memory other than ones involving my kids. Which is fine, however I was challenging myself to find one outside of this genre.

So I turned on my internal 'google search' and let it start scanning to depths of my mind. After several minutes of seeing the little circle go around, and around, and around... I realised it was struggling to find any, and I had crashed the system. The only thing to do was to 'shut down' and 'reboot'. So I went to bed and had a snooze.

I am sorry to say the reboot did not produce anything out side of my children. But at the same time, I am eternally grateful for the fact that I went and had kids. Otherwise life would be pretty fricked!*Laugh*

My children bring me blessings and happy memories on a daily basis. Somedays I have to look a bit harder to find the blessings, but they are there, even if they might be hidden.

They make me smile, they keep me warm, they wrap me up in their laughter. So everyday can be a happy memory.

Blessings

Blog City Day 134 July 15th

Prompt one: Animal testing-yes, no Maybe. Let me hear your opinion

Prompt two: Do you believe in any conspiracy theories? which ones and why?

Animal testing! No and Yes. No I do not agree with animal testing if it is just for the likes of cosmetics I do not believe it is neccessary. Most of the commercial products have to be tested on something because they are full of so much crap! So I would'nt want to be putting dangerous chemicals on my face anyway, even if they do say it is safe. Anything that has to come with a warning that it may cause side effects...Hmm...No thanks. I try to go natural, or make my own, that don't require me trying it out on the family dog first!*Smile*

However! I am boardering on a Yes, when it comes to important neccessary medicines. In our Society we do have the reality of needing modern medicine to keep on advancing. To hopefully find the next cure...all be it for them to charge ridiculous amounts of money for it, and put so many restrictions on it that the average family can't affort to access it...Sorry I digress, that is a whole other rant that I will save for another day!

CONSPIRACY THEORIES:

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT ANTI USA !

9/11, Malyasia flight and McDonalds

Definatley! 9/11. A tragic and horiffic man made disaster, that has changed the lives of so, so many! The magnitude of the devestation 9/11 has caused, will continue to reverberate through out the world and will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to all who were affected.

I do believe it was a conspiracy, as there are just to many unanswered questions like, why there was only one peice of debris found from the plane that 'apparently hit the pentagonand it was not even directly near the crash site. When a plane crashes it leaves a "mother load" of mess, including human debris of which there was none. the grass leading directly up to the building show's nothing, it is pristine infact. It was a missile attack.

George Bush's reaction that was tellivised for all the world to see, was extremley odd. He was reading to school students and after being informed there was no reaction, he continued reading. I find this very odd.

Why did the twim towers implode, starting from the basement of the buildings. Fire crews still to this day report hearing explosions... the list goes on. It does cast doubt for me though.

Malaysia flight 370! Planes do not 'Just dissapear'. I believe it has landed on the little US millitary island of Diego Garcia. There were 20 high profile computer engineers on that flight who were not meant to all be on the same flight at the same time. Funnily enough other flights were cancelled and they all ended up on flight 370.

These high profile engineers had just applied for a patent for a microchip that could completley automate the world. However, for them to claim this patent, they actually have to be in the country. If no one is in the country and it is not claimed, it then becomes the property of the United States, where the patent was logded...hmm it does make me wonder.

Again there has been no report of wreckage, accepting one small piece that "apparently" washed up onto shore down south of Perth Western Australia in Augusta. No one has actually identified it at being part of flight 370.

Again too many unaswered questions.

I also do not believe for one minute that the Australian Government is fully involved as well

McDonalds

I believe that Mc Donalds the largest fast food chain in the world.(I love my quarter pounder!) is not in colaboration with major drug companies around the world. 'We'll keep 'em fat, you keep 'em well'. Can you imagine how much money that drug companies alone would earn from the illness associated to a continued regular diet of Mc Donalds. hmm... makes me think again!

Well thats me done...as much as I believe in conspiracy theories, I actually don't like thinking about it too much...scares me!

Blessings

I re-read this mornings blog about "Vacation or Staycation" and I totally rushed it. Forgot spacing and could have used this story so much more to show my dark witty humour, that you all have not really seen as yet>*Laugh*

Even now I have various kids, one by one, approaching me with demands. Or worse they come into my my little corner of the little room I sit in, crouched over my laptop, surrounded by mess and just stand there staring over my shoulder as I type. They actually do this deliberatley because they know it annoys me so much.*Facepalm*

I need to stop, and pause life. Slow down, edit, add and feel happy with what I have written. Then 'Complete Edit". Instead of just rushing through it as just another chore that has to be done.

Ironically, my two daughters and their Dad are going away for two nights and three days today. So I am looking forward to a half staycation as it will just be me and my two boys. I am so looking forward to it. I am going to attempt to clean my computer room and make it friendlier to write in. Clear room, clear mind. Apparently!

After I had posted my vacation adventure in Bali. I suddenly remembered, (I am pretty sure it was this same trip) that this is trip that Taj only3 back then stopped breathing in his sleep.

We had a big day of shopping and swimming. Little Taj was exhausted so I got him to sleep about 8pm. He was asleep next to me as I sat in bed with the older kids watching Sponge Bob in indonesian. (Sponge Bob spoken in Indonesian is frickin hilarious.)

Taj had been asleep for about an hour when he suddenly sat bolt upright. His eyes wide and panicked! I immediatley noticed that his lips were blue and he was not breathing at all. He had just Stopped breathing! And the look in his eyes was one of 'I don't know how to get this started agian'

The older kids started to panic but I remained calm my words and actions deliberatley slow almost. I turned to Anisa and said "Go get Aunty Lis". (remember this is all happening in split second time, but felt like slow motion) I turned to taj and gently started rubbing his back with a good amount of pressure in a circular motion. I looked into his eyes and just spoke to him saying "your okay, just take a breathe, your fine, I'm here, your ok, just breathe, your safe...and so on" It felt like an eternity of time was passing by, but finally he drew in a huge breathe, then another. He also started coughing and spluttering as he finally worked out this thing called breathing.

My Sister burst through the door by this time, she had been in the Lobby she had a startled shocked look on her face that softened once she realised he was now breathing. Taj didn't speak at all he just cuddled up to me, my arm wrapped around him and he shook, every part of his little body was shaking in shock. He eventually fell asleep that way, which I was happy about as I knew I would wake quickly if it happened again.

Lisa also told me that there was a traffic jam down the main street of Kuta, so we would not have been able to get an ambulance to him for ages. In Bali as well the Ambos have to follow the traffic rules,(of which I am not actually sure there are any)

So this was how we discovered that Taj had sleep aponea, He quite quickly had his tonsils and adnoids out as it was them that was causing his aponea. Thank fully that has never happened again.

Well I just farwelled my daughter's and their Dad and to my great pleasure I just found out that they are going away till Friday not thursday! Oh the bliss.

Taj is nagging me for a sleep over at Aunty Lisa's so might organise that. I just need Channing to stay at work and sleep there and I will have the perfect staycation.

BC day 123 July 14th

Vacation or Staycation. Which would you prefer and why?

VACATION

I would choose vacation any day of the week. Yes it can be exhausting, especially when we go we usually go with my sister's family as well so there is usually 11 of us and 7 of those are kids.

We don't get to go on holiday very oftem but when we do we usually head to Bali! It is actually cheaper for us Perthites to holiday in Bali than it is in our own state, way, way to expensive here.

Last time was certainly an adventure. We went for Christmas three years ago now. As we walked from the plane across the tarmac toward the terminal Mahalia turned to me and said "my throats sore." Most mums would shrug it off, throw her a lozenger and have a "she'll be right mate" attitude. However when Mahalia ever speaks these three words, it makes the pit of my stomach 'bottom out' and my head says "Oh Shit!"

I should at this stage point out that Drama is something that just seems to follow our family around like a plague that is never far from our front door. Why this is so I do not know, I guess we are just blessed that way! *Laugh*

Luckily we were stay for 18 nights this time and I say luckily because at least I did manage to find a few days where I actually got out and did things.

The first couple of days Mahalia managed to get out a little bit but mostly staying in bed. By the morning of day three she was a dehydrated, vomiting mess so it was time to frequent one of our more familiar tourist places, the Hospital. I hear you all gasp. Hospital in Bali!!!!!

In Bali there is a hospital just out of Kuta called the BIMC. I is australina/american owned and run. It is the best hospital I have frequented even her in Aust, and I have been to a lot.

Within half an hour she had fluids and anti nausia meds and was in a bed on a ward. Mahalia spent 3 nights in hospital and I stayed with her for the first two. After the second night of sleeping on a bench next to her bed I told her it was her Dads turn and I had to get back to Taj cause Guess what? he was now showing signs of getting sick.

On the morning of the third day she was a lot better so we busted her out because we had booked to travel to (i can't think of the towns name now) a place two hours out of kuta where the monkey forrest was and qaint shops and a market. Mahalia said there was no way she was missing out on that...Ubud! just came to me.

By the time we returned from Ubud, Taj was now in bed, vomiting with a high fever..(note at no time did either of these kids had eaten the food there before they got sick, we took tajs food with us as well as he pretty much eats nothing) He deteriorated quickly and stopped drinking which for him is is main source of nutrients. So back I was at BIMC, again with in half an hour we were in our own room this time and I actually had a folder bed because he was a little minor. On ther second night it was new yrs eve so at mignight I headed down out side and watched the security guards set off fireworks on the makeshift medium strip on the road...then the bloodied and sick started rolling into the emergancy room.

Again on day three taj was a lot better and was drinking a little but we were booked to go to the 'safari park.' Again Narko our driver picked us up and we headed straight there. I loaded taj into a pram and just kept offering him every drink under the sun.. He was fine took him a couple of days to get back on board with food and drink but he was fine.

I managed to have a few days where I got to just chill by the pool and do some unneccessary shopping. So I was pretty happy and content.

Then the last night came. We ate dinner at our hotel and had invited our driver's family to come to dinner with us. It was meant to be a lovely fun night. Channing my eldest had been burning the candle at both end with his mate that he had bought with him. (already they had cost me a new TV because somehow ,( though neither of them did it!!!!) A BB-gun manged to go off all by itself and smash the TV screen.

Anyways all I was watching him, his food had just arrived he was feeling unwell because he was hungry and he started shovelling rice into his gullet. I then noticed him guzzling down water. I realised he had got rice stuck in the base of his asophogus(don't ask me how I knew this but a mother just knows these things sometimes! he was trying to swallow water as the rice was trying to come up he then stop suddenly and was now gasping for air... he had tried to breathe and now had fricking breathed in a mixture of water and rice.

Panic was in his eyes as he desperatley tried to breathe.. his chair flew across the floor as he stood and started pacing and panicking even more as he could get no air in...I ran to him my arm on his (I am the master medic of the family) I quickly assessed what was happening and while I did this a man ran up and said "hit him in the back he is choking!) I looked at him calmly yet with assertion and just said "DO NOT TOUCH HIM" I grabbed Channing's arm tighter lent in and said "I am going to punch you in your sternum!" and with that I smashed my fist into him and a huge lump of rice flew from his mouth.he finally was able to cough and started receiving oxygen to his lungs again. (although it took him a good hour to regulate his breathing and stop coughing.) I sat with him and explained what had happend to him.(luckily for him I had had this experience myself as a teen though mine involved a lot of alcohol!)

I stayed with him down stairs to the side of the restuarant as he settled then when he was ok I left everyone at the table went to my room and burst into tears from the shock and stress of it all.

Now I hear you all say. Why the Heck would you ever want to go on vacation again!!!!!! Well it is simple really... this is everyday drama for us, remember I mentioned it followed us like a plague. So why not at least be in a different country, experiencing a different culture while the drama keeps going. Just because Drama doesn't take a Vacation, doesnt mean I can't

BCOF Day 603 July 14th

Prompt: Write an anacdote. According to merriam-webster.com and acecdote came from the Greek word andkdota, which means unpublished. It is defined as a short, short story concerning a funny or intersting occurance or event.

Well I have delayed and delayed as long as I can. I am struggling with this prompt. So I am just going to go with the very first thoughts I had when I first read it.

Uncle Rolly! He is the first person I thought of when I read this. He is my Uncle that I haven't had a lot to do with ever really...The only times we saw him was for an inportant birthday of Nana's or Christmas.

I remember Christmas, year after year growing up we would trek to nana's house for Christmas lunch and as we pulled in the driveway from the car you could hear the laughter floating on the air. I loved the laughter of Christmas day. We would venture inside and there would be Uncle Rolly holding court. He was the kind of man who had a story about everything and they would always end with cheers of laughter from us all. I can't for the life of me remember one of them. But I remember having the feeling of happiness and good cheer. I certainly miss those moments in time...

Blog City day 131 July 12th

Prompt: If you have traffic signs in your house, your office any space you spend frequent time. What Would they say and would there be more than one.

We have 6 people living in a 4 bedroom house. Two adults (myself and the big kids dad kevin, notice I deliberatley didn't put a capital on that) and 4 children Channing 19, Mahalia,16, Anisa 13 and taj 6. Myself and Kevin have been seperated for I think coming up 9 years. I have been living under his roof (paying board) for the last 18 months. This makes for a very busy house and I think I would have not only traffic signs up but information signs up everywhere.

We have one main hallway that runs from the front door all the way down till a small deviation to the right and then it continues to the back door. I would have traffic lights set up so I could actually walk from one end to the other without coliding with another human being. Cause I tell you, Teenagers don't know how to keep to the left. (remember Im in Aus we keep to the left!*Smile* )

There would be a sign on the bathroom door saying "mind you step" As the floor will be covered with towels, clothes, makeup brushes, hair brushes and all amounts of rubbish.

My bebroom, which I am so blessed NOT! to share with Anisa and Taj as we just do not have enough bedrooms. would say "free for all" There is no peace and everyone seems to think they can come and go as they please in this room.

Kevins door would be adorned with a sing saying "beware OCD resides, Please feel free to rearange any orniments, Just to piss him off) I do this and so do the kids it is so funny to watch him try not to have a melt down but inside he is flipping out. hahahahaha

Channing's door would simple say "Do not at any stage touch the shoes man" he is a collector of expensive running shoes and they are displayed in order and well you just don't touch them if you want to live! (yes he got a bit of the OCD as well.)

Mahalia's room would have a very straight to the point sign. "If you value your life do not even think about touching this door knob let alone opening it and popping your head in"

The lounge room's sign would inform people that this is "The Cave" So if you like darkness 24 hours a day feel free to enter.

In the kitchen I would have a removable sign that I could place there when it looks like a bomb has gone off and it would say

"Ain't my bloody turn!"

The laundry as you enter would have a sign saying "push some bloody buttons for once in your life"

I might just do this could be good for a laugh! *Laugh* *Laugh*

BCOF Day JUly 12th

Prompt: Being a sentient adult you are very aware that life is not a bowel of cherries or a paper moon. So what is it?

Choose a metaphor filling this statement. Life is........

As I lay in bed last night I was thinking of this one. Metaphors are not my strong point. there is a local man in our area whom is one of the characters of the suburb I live in, and he is someone who speaks in metaphors, He makes me laugh so much although I do find it hard to keep up with the conversation sometimes as it is just metaphor after metaphor. He is a true, blue dinky die Aussie!

Anyways here it goes. Life is like a marathon. To win, you just keep putting one foot in front of the other!

One foot in front of the other is a phrase I find myself using on a daily basis. When my days are insanley busy and exhaustion has started creeping over my at just thinking about the day ahead, I have to remind myself that I just have to put one foot infront of the other and that is all I have to focus on. Just the next step, then just the next one. Tthen before I know it I have got through another day (sounds a bit dramatic, but it does get like that sometimes.)

I also never look at the whole week or the whole month because that would overwhelm me to much. I just focus on one day at a time, and putting one foot infront of the other.

BCOF Day 600 July 11th

Prompt: Have you ever been in a situation where someone doubted you and you proved them wrong.

This prompt has brought up so much underlying anger and frustraiton. It has been interesting to listen to the ongong dialouge running through my head all day. Though I must admit, It was very exhausting.*Confused*

When it comes to my sister I am never right. And even if I am right, I am still not right. My sister is my only sibling and we have only had each other through out our lives. (even though Mum is still alive that doen't count because she is useless!). I am the "fuck up" the black sheep, the stupid one. oh and the list goes on and on and on! *Rolleyes*

Because of my bad memory and the last ten years of my life being filled with a lot of dead empty spaces that I have either no memory of or only a dream like memory, I can only recal one time I have been right with my sister. It felt so so good and although it was something so ridiculously small and inconcequential. It still felt bloody good.

It was earlier this year, she herself has been unwell for the last 9 months and I have been looking after her (another lengthy story for another day). I was in her driveway, no doubt I was there to go do some shopping for her as she cannot drive at this time. and it was the school holidays, just a term break and the kids were due to go back to school the following week. It is always a point of confusing over here as to when the first day back to school is as the teacher often take a "Personal development" Day on the first day and the kids go back on the second day.

Anyways I said to my sister 'the kids are back at school next Tuesday" Her reply was "no it is Monday they go back"

I then reply "no I am sure it is Tuesday cause I looked it up on the website"

'No love! I think you will find that they are back at school on the Monday" she replied in her usual agitated, higher pitched. patronising tone. that I know oh so well so I was really cool and just said "okay cool"

The next day I was there again and when she jumped in the car the words that came from her mouth were like sweet music to my ears. It's funny because her tone when she said it was one of such disapointment that she herself had been wrong "Your Right, the kids do go back on Tuesday!" My insides were smiling and I had a very satisfied feeling especially seeing as she had actually validated and said the words 'your right"

I said "ooohhhh! So I was right was I" she half smiled, half grimiced. I had a good day that day.*Laugh*
