Retired teacher. I now enjoy the freedom of playing daily doubles tennis and doing Tai Chi. I bought a bike and ride about. I swim daily and read lots. I'm studying French and German. I judge the Writer's Cramp each weekend, but my writing is suffering from too many activities. Still a Weight Watcher, Book Club, and museum/concert attendee. My cat rules the house, squirrels dominate outside. I can no longer afford to own a horse. I miss my Arabians; they were special. (Now owned by others.) |
My love is sci-fi with a romance angle, but I also enjoy dabbling in other genres. Fantasy, humor, poems . . . all great fun. |
Still developing my style. I hate editing, which is the reason my manuscripts remain unpublished. |
Astronomy, sci/fi, stock market, WRITING/reading novels. Vegetarian & animal admirer. I feed birds and squirrels in my backyard. Enjoy crosswords, Scrabble, Sudoko, gardening, classical music, swimming, biking, and laughing. Life is good! |

Science fiction, of course, but I read paranormal, vampires, mysteries, and anything someone gives me with a recommendation. |
The Host, Contact, Twilight Series, Atlas Shrugged, The Interior Life, The Wolf and the Dove, and in general, whatever I just read -- which changes quite frequently. |
Stephanie Meyer, Dorothy Gilman, Andre Norton, Elizabeth Peters, Rita Mae Brown, Diane Mott Davidson, M.C. Beaton, Amanda Quick, Anne McCaffrey and countless others in science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and generic fiction |
Robert Frost ee.cummings and many of the distinguished poets on Writing.com (like Harry.) |
"To be nobody - but yourself -- in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." (ee.cummings) |
Most Renaissance Music and chamber music, but in particular: Puccini, Vivaldi, Paganini, Mozart, Bach, Prokofiev, Andrew Lloyd Webber (His Variations on Paganini really sends me into ecstacy!) as does Handel's Messiah. |
The Twilight Series, The Happiest Millionaire, The Last Starfighter, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Starman, A Walk to Remember, and the oldies: A Majority of One, The Enchanted Garden, A Magnificent Obsession, AND The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. |
None, I'm not a T.V. watcher, but I admit to owning lots of videos: Downton Abbey, Glee, Monk, Numbers, Babylon 5, True Blood, Big Bang Theory, All Creatures Great and Small, Scarecrow & Mrs. King . . . |
