AN ODE TO LOVE

[Love’s dimensions are multiple and deep.]



What is love, what is its aim?
Why in love all are aflame?

Love pervades all human frame.
Love, immortal is thy name.

In pure love there is no shame.
Nor in love is there a blame.

In fairness one may proclaim:
Love is no one sided game.

Is loving simply to tame?
Is love just to win a dame?

No, one may truly thus claim:
Love and sacrifice are same.

For love only Jesus came.
Love is but His other name.
