The Continuing Saga of Prosperous Snow

Winter in Las Vegas
Winter in Las Vegas isn't like winter in Oklahoma. In Oklahoma snow is expected and arrives either in November or December. In Las Vegas, when snow arrives it's usually on Mount Charleston, but not in the valley. I don't think snow has arrived on Mount Charleston yet. It's gotten cold enough up there for the ski lodge to open and produce artificial snow.

The forecast for the next two or three days is freezing in the valley. The freezing temperatures aren't expected until sometime late Friday or early Saturday. I expect the oak trees to start loosing more leaves in the next few days. At least, the lawn maintenance people will have work. Not everyone in the neighborhood hires someone to do their yards.

The oak trees will look beautiful when the all their leaves begin to change. The street in front of the house will look like it's decorated for Christmas when the leaves begin to fall. The street is black and the leaves are orange or yellow, which makes a nice contrast. It will complement the Christmas decorations that are going up in the yards.

The family across the street put their lights up around the first. The lights look nice and make a bright contrast on the dark street. There are only a couple of streetlights along this section of Bracken and both are on the corners. The rest of the lights in the neighborhood are porch or yard lights.
