Patched face of mystical amusement
Ever watchful eyes miss nothing
Their green depths shimmer on full alert
She lays in sleek, restive pose
Yet it hides a suppressed energy
Ready to explode in a moment’s notice
Then claws out, she pounces
Moments later, she sprawls flat
Supple and sublime
All fierceness behind a veiled layer of calm.
