Blog City โ€“ Day 234

Prompt: George and Martha Washington arrive at your home. What happens next?

Are they Zombies? Or we traveled back in time? Being Canadian, if they were zombies there would be some whopping going on โ€˜cause I donโ€™t like zombies. If weโ€™ve gone back in time, Iโ€™d tell them they got the wrong address and send them on their way after providing a little sustenance.

Welcome To My Reality - Week Forty - Four

2. What's your favourite game to play?

I enjoy trivia and word games. I have, in the past, gotten into playing Words With Friends on Facebook. I tend not to play so much anymore as it sucks a lot of time... time I could be writing. I have played many games through Facebook. The ones that draw me also link up to my Facebook friends.

If I play any games off line... I don't play many, but cards have been fun. Uecher is fun. My husband and I have played Othello, but he always wins. I do well with those trivia games.

I used to play Crazy Eights and Go Fish with my Gramzie. That was always great fun.

I enjoy watching game shows on television. Jeopardy is fun, but I am not overly good at it. Family Feud pulls me in. There is a Pop Quiz show on now - I suck at it. Current popular culture is not something I do well with.

30 Day Blogging Challenge

The aftermath of the violence in Ottawa. We are not so far away that we can't be touched. Violence cuts into our Captial city and shakes things up. A life lost. A hero taking down the gunman. I saw bits and pieces of the news, but not the whole story. I will admit I do not follow the daily news. It is depressing.

9/11 was closer to home, but this is on home soil. It shakes us up, but we are back to business as usual today. Life moves forward. Sorrow rips at us and we fee compassion for the family of the fallen soldier. A life gone for something so stupid. A life lost in brutality. His family bleeds for him. Their sorrow cries out and is echoed within the nation.

The gunman is put down. His life extinguished. One less idiot. But he is only one rat. Where is the nest with the rest of the vermin?
