Personality & Worst Days
Today's blogs....

Blog City – Day 235

Let's talk about personalities. I am told there are 3 specific types:
• Type A, which they labeled as competitive, ambitious, impatient, aggressive, and fast-talking;
• Type B, which is more relaxed and non-competitive, and
• Type C, which is hardworking, but becomes apathetic when faced with stress.

Which one are you? Were you always this way or have you changed with circumstances? How many of these tendencies do you now experience? Were you always this way or have these tendencies increased over time? Your significant other? Or which one do you want for your significant other?

I had never heard of Type C so I checked it out and found a variation...from another website. This listed 4 personality types. Here is a bit more detail.

Type A personalities are competitive, high achievers and have a high sense of time urgency. As a result of these combined traits Type A's are always found to be busy working on their own projects. Type A's felt insecure at one point of their lives and so they decided to fight the insecurity by changing their lives and making achievements as fast as they can.

Type B's are the opposite of type A's. They are relaxed, laid back and not easily stressed. While type B can be achievers too still they won't be as competitive as Type A's. Type B can delay work and do it in the last moment, some of them can turn into procrastinators which is something that a type A can never do.

Type C personalities love details and can spend a lot of time trying to find out how things work and this makes them very suitable for technical jobs. Type C are not assertive at all and they always suppress their own desires even if there is something that they dislike. The lack of assertiveness results in tremendous stress and sometimes in depression. Type Cs are very vulnerable to depression compared to type A and type B.

D stands for distressed, Type D's have a negative outlook towards life and are pessimistic. A small event that is not even noticed by type B can ruin type D's day. Type D might become socially withdrawn as a result of fear of rejection even if they like to be around people. T Type D's are famous for suppressing their emotions and this makes them the most vulnerable type to depression. In my book, The ultimate guide to getting over depression i said that one of the famous causes for depression is suppressing your emotions for long periods of time without venting them someway.

I like this aspect better. From this I would consider myself Type B. I am very good at procrastinating. I can see elements of this detailed oriented personality of Type C in myself as well.
I like the 16 personalities quiz you can take at www.16personalities.com
With that quiz, I am a ISFJ - the website gives an overview that is pretty accurate.

The ISFJ personality type is quite unique, as many of their qualities defy the definition of their individual traits. Though possessing the Feeling (F) trait, ISFJs have excellent analytical abilities; though Introverted (I), they have well-developed people skills and robust social relationships; and though they are a Judging (J) type, ISFJs are often receptive to change and new ideas. As with so many things, people with the ISFJ personality type are more than the sum of their parts, and it is the way they use these strengths that defines who they are.
ISFJs are true altruists, meeting kindness with kindness-in-excess and engaging the work and people they believe in with enthusiasm and generosity.
There's hardly a better type to make up such a large proportion of the population, nearly 13%. Combining the best of tradition and the desire to do good, ISFJs are found in lines of work with a sense of history behind them, such as medicine, academics and charitable social work.
ISFJ personalities (especially Turbulent ones) are often meticulous to the point of perfectionism, and though they procrastinate, they can always be relied on to get the job done on time. ISFJs take their responsibilities personally, consistently going above and beyond, doing everything they can to exceed expectations and delight others, at work and at home.

Border for my personal use.

30 Day Blogging Challenge

Describe one of your worst days that has happened lately.

Things have been pretty good lately. Worst days.... the worst thing lately has been today's headache. No amount of Advil will touch it and I was supplying in a noisy grade three class. I was feeling a little nauseous earlier but that dissipated by the time I accepted the supply job.

I am sorry. I really don't want to focus on the negative. Instead, I will wish everyone a wonderful weekend.
