The Addams Family, Voyages, Gardening and A Little Rant...
Today's blog....

Blog City – Day 240

Halloween! Prompt: Who would you rather live with? The Addams Family or The Munsters?

The Addams family would be interesting. They are a little ghoulish but still fun loving. I would expect you would have to be on your toes at all times because Wednesday is not the safest big sister around, though if she keeps to bothering her brother, I expect life would be fine.

Border for my personal use.

Welcome To My Reality - Week Forty - Five

6. If you could take a sea voyage anywhere in the world at any time, who would be your captain and which ship would you take?

The Love Boat would be exciting and new. If I went aboard they'd be expecting me.... according to their theme song.

These new cruises out now are floating cities. I am also not a big fan of cruises - I am a land lover who likes to walk the terrain. Walking the deck does not have as much appeal - it seems to much like a workout on a track. I like exploring the world's natural wonders.... I think a cruise would bore me.

But if I did take some kind of sea voyage where would I go? Europe would be nice, but not by sea. Up to Alaska would be interesting but chilly. The Caribbean.... has potential, I guess. There is also the possibility of taking a sea voyage to Hawaii and then staying there and later flying home. That way, I get the experience without losing the fullness of the Islands. I am not crazy about having to be back by a certain time and missing the boat.

I would want a good captain that would not run us aground and a boat that would not break down in the middle of our voyage.
I think I might enjoy one of those floating cities. Some of those Disney Ships look cool and entertaining. I expect I would spend much of my time out on deck being active in the pool or walking. Exploring the ship.

7. Do you have a green thumb? What sort of gardens appeal to you? Do you have favourite flowers or plants? If you're not the gardening type, what would you want in a garden if someone else looked after it?

I am not a gardening type. I enjoy the look of someone's efforts, but I do not think I would want someone to look after it as well.
Gardens at stately estates look peaceful and provide paths as you make your way around the place, but I am more inclined to enjoy the lushness of a nature trail. Tall trees that provide the shade and are home to squirrels and such. Trails move through the terrain not harming the environment. All is to be enjoyed. Trillums are fun to see - Ontario's provincial flower that is illegal to pick. They are an enjoyment of early spring. Other wild flowers grace the trails growing where they wish. Touch Me Nots are pretty and smell heavenly as the summer wains. There is no design except the one set forth by God.

I like to walk the trails through the seasons and see what changes and delights have occurred. I like trails that follow a river or stream adding to the fullness. A place to take a picnic or write by the stream when the spirit moves you. (Just take bug spray - just in case).

30 Day Blogging Challenge

A tiny rant...

Don't you just hate it when a good story comes but in order to enter it into a contest you need to cut it. I wrote a piece for the Seasonal Endurance Challenge - The Thirteen Days of Halloween. Written pieces must be 500 words or less my entry is 1084. I have some serious editing to do. It is bad enough when it is only one hundred words but this I have to cut in half. I have submitted the full story but will also do the edit - she can decide from there which to accept as the contest is not as strict as some others. I think I would suggest 1000 word limits because writing Halloween escapes can need the extra words to get you out of a jam.

Here's the link if you want to check out the unedited longer version. "Day 10 - Thirteen Days of Halloween
