"The Last Days"  ** Image ID #2109834 Unavailable ** ** Image ID #2110407 Unavailable ** The Blogging Circle of Friends prompt for February 11 is "Prompt: Use this story Lunar Eclipse and Green Comet Make for Busy Friday Night in the Sky http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/lunar-eclipse-and-green-comet-make-for-... to inspire your blog entry." I'm sure there are those who quoted Matthew 24: 29 which references lunar eclipses meteor showers as their go to text to prove that a lunar eclipse means Jesus return is imminent. That's what i usually hear when an astronomical event takes place. However Jsus return has been imminent for over 2,000 years. The last Biblical Day started with the beginning of the church. The Lord will not return until the last person that god knows will ever come to salvation has done so. No amount of predictions is going to be able to pin point when that day has arrived. Jesus goes on to say in Matthew 24: 36 that the only Person who knows when that day will come is God Himself. Not even Jesus knows. I have a Christian blog and normally don't preach here but the prompt begged a good answer. |
