Poem Written at a Traffic Light
(Early Morning, Las Vegas)

Invigorating
snow scented air
from Mount Charleston
awakens Boulder Highway drivers.

The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise prompt for DAY 1281
“The lessons of life amount not to wisdom, but to scar tissue and callus.” Wallace Stegner, The Spectator Bird If you agree with the quote, in what ways is the scar tissue mistaken for wisdom? If you don’t agree, from where do you think wisdom in life is gained?

Wisdom is a multitude of things. It is the "scar tissue and callus" we received, as our awards for survival. It is the things we learn from watching working, and realizing there is a better or safer way to do the job. Wisdom comes to us through meditation, prayer, reading, working, and ripping your ring finger open when play Jane (of Tarzan and Jane) on a swing (I did this as a child). Wisdom can be any lesson we learn, but it is mainly "scar tissue and callus."

The "Blogging Circle of Friends prompt for DAY 1768
Writing means sharing. It's part of the human condition to want to share things - thoughts, ideas, opinions. Paulo Coelho What do you think? Is there a thought, opinion, or idea you want to share?

Humans are social creatures, who like to make their opinions known. Sometimes they dislike listening to the opinions of other human beings because they don't want to hear differing ideas, but if you're going to share your thoughts, opinions, or ideas with other you have to accept the fact that not everyone thinks as you do. I suspect one of the problems with society today are people who think just because you look like them (skin color being the most obvious) that you think like they do, which isn't true.
