"January 18, 2018 Me in my Salvation Army uniform Just what it says Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs "Let's break down our life into multitudes of 18 on this 18th day. What happened in your life when you were the age 18, 36, 54, 72, 98?

Were these monumental times or just another year?"

For the most part they were just another year. 18 was pretty special for me because that was the year I joined the military and became disabled in the line of duty. I am still struggling to receive my service connected disability but now have an advocate who has told me what I need to do to receive it. Anytime a soldier is hospitalized in the military it is considered a disability. I was turned down because the US Veteran's Administration said that there was no proof that I was ever hospitalized. It turns out they looked at the wrong records! So 18 was the year I became joined the military and became disabled.

18 was also a special year in another way. This way is far more important. In fact the most significant event that will ever happen to me occurred in my eighteenth year. That was the year I gave my soul to Jesus Christ. He already owned it but He had made me steward just as He does all of us. Unless we repent and ask Him to forgive our sins we will perish. Once we do that we have eternal life. So eighteen was the year I was born again.I back slid a lot after that and even became a drug addict but Jesus was always there pleading with me to do His will. Today I do His will to the best of my ability. I have a Christian blog, in which I preach the gospel. I know I am not perfect. I'm still a sinner but I'm a forgiven sinner who serves the Lord. www.marvinschrebe.com
