Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Prompt: "Write a poem, story, or blog entry about a winding river."

Life is a winding river and the only way to negotiate its currents successfully is to allow the Holy Spirit to be your pilot. I am so fortunate that I became a Christian. It's not that I successfully make it through every day without making mistakes because I don't. However I know the Holy Spirit is my guide today. I screw up only if I decide to go out on self will and there are definite occasions when I do that. I am much happier today because I know where my hope lies and I depend on God instead of myself.

Blog City image small Prompt: "If you could undo ONE thing you did in the last year, what would it be and why?"

If I could undo one thing in my past year and in my life period it would be a particular sin that I find myself repeatedly committing against God and against myself. In the books of Moses God commanded three offerings to be made for sin. One was an offering for the person themselves. It was the sin offering. The second was an offering to God called the burnt offering. The third was an offering for the person offended called the trespass offering. Now Jesus is the offering. Every time we sin we crucify Him anew and thus every time I commit this one sinful act that plagues me I crucify Him anew. Yes I'm a preacher but even I commit sin.
