"Denial Poem 1"   [E] by Imogen Elliott

Mini-review: Quite interesting use of a long-line acrostic poem. Didn't even realize that at first (which is nice). This poetic (alliteration, rhythm) offering is fun word-play. Doubt much more can be done with it. I give it a 4.0 once edited.

Grammar: Needs some editing. Line 2 it's it not it's and in line 3 consider who's not that's although that's is grammatical. I do like the use of hyphenated words.

Prompt: De "Nile" is not just a river in Egypt. What is it?

Some of us (speaking from bitter experience) have difficulty letting go... of people, of dreams, of life. We hold on to the past and future long after death. Long for what cannot be. Denial doesn't help one live in the present which requires one to be present. Denial is a certain kind of absence.
