Psalms 119:1-2/03/12/2021
Prompt:
Psalm 119:1-2
1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

How can we be undefiled in the way and seek God with our whole heart?

Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. Living on the earth in a body, the soul is at odds with the carnal desires that plague everyone.

The life, death, and resurrection of Christ were foretold. Salvation by acceptance and following God is an ancient fact. Psalms 119 tells us God can be trusted. But, sincerity and acceptance is necessary to reap Godly Rewards. Once acceptance occurs, we are considered undefiled by the holy God in the name of Jesus. However, the battle of the body against rebellion, and lawlessness, continues. We now have tools to fight against things God would not approve. In the name of Jesus, and following his teachings we rule the body the body does not rule us.

It's interesting to me that learning meditation-learning to live in the moment quiets the mind. When you add Jesus teachings and experiences of life as told in Scripture you gain more and more control of your life in all ways.

Meditating on scripture causes changes in the brain that affect the ability to properly understand and follow the laws of God. This is the Easter season. Learning to meditate daily on scripture is one way to seek God with your whole heart.

I always loved the Psalms even as a child. My first bible was a new testament that included the Psalms. I love to hear them sung.

Try reading "Pilgrims Progress" it is really an interesting story.
