For my blog "Prompt:
Isaiah 53:5
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

What do you think about these two verses? Do you think this is pertaining to spiritual or physical healing or both?"

A lot of people believe it refers to physical healing but I believe it refers to spiritual healing. Humans are finite creatures. We aren't meant to live forever in these bodies. A lot of people pray for healing, then when it does not come they lose faith in God. They misquote this passage as the reason for their lack of faith. "God promised me healing and then did not deliver."

This passage promises healing spiritually.
