Helga
She was everywhere in our home
The pitter-patter of tiny feet
But now the family is alone
She no longer walks her beat

Her little head poked around corners
She 'maued' when she was hungry
Now the house is filled with mourners
It all feels a little empty

She purred when she was happy
Being stroked by my wife
Now she is gone we are unhappy
And with tears, we miss her life

Now the house seems so clean
Her things and mess are all gone
Yet In all the places where she has been
She still seems to belong

We will miss you our little kitty
You were like our first child
Your white fur was so pretty
You died in Summer when nature smiled

We cannot forget a love like this
And when we walk in paradise
We expect you to share our bliss
And not to eat the mice
