Dust Dream

it was just a dream
a dream of dust
just a dust dream
dream dust
desiccated dust
drifting down like dry
precipitation
a deadly rain of dust
descending
from low dark skies
on a drab dead desert
devoid of life
our date with destiny
and death

doomsday in the dreams
of yesteryear
