Despite My Painful Foot
Despite My Painful Foot

That’s right. I had a very painful foot all day yesterday at work. But that didn’t stop me from writing seven scenes. And I may have been able to do one to two more if my relief hadn’t come into work over an hour early. Two of those scenes were Establishing Shots. How can that be? Didn’t I do that last Sunday?

That is what I thought. But I was wrong about that. I only got the five scenes to end my Teaser Act for the first episode of my Water Wars television series. Got the Scene Heading down for the first Establishing Shot. But I didn’t start writing it yet like I thought that I had.

I’m kind of surprised that I wrote that many scenes yesterday at work. After all, I could barely walk on my right foot all day yesterday. And I did a lot of walking too. Luckily, most of my walking was inside my guard post. But I did have to go outside about ten to fifteen times, though. Unfortunately, the inside was almost as bad as the outside because it was hard for me to do what needed to be done while inside.

I was going to take an Aleve when I got to work. but I couldn’t do that because I had no water to take it with. And I can’t take one without water. I also have to take pills that I can chew. Chewing Aleve isn’t the problem. But doing it without water is.

Of course, they have a sink in that guard post. But I didn’t have anything to put that water in. As a result, I couldn’t take any Aleve until I got home from work. which I did do. And my foot is feeling a lot better. I will take another one tomorrow before I go to work. If I need to do that. Most of the time it only takes one Aleve. But sometimes it takes two or three.

Whether I need more Aleve or not, I hope that I can get at least five scenes written today at work. I should be able to get that many written. After all, I did it yesterday. And that was with a painful foot. A lot of how much writing I get done today depends on how busy it is at work today.

It’s not just work, though. It will also depend on if anything happens with who I work for. Nothing like that has happened recently. But that doesn’t mean that it won’t. Whether it’s how busy it gets at work or who I work for, if something comes up, I will deal with it. If I can survive yesterday, I can survive whatever they try next to get rid of me.
